Change Your Decor for the Seasons Easily and Inexpensively: Welcome to the 141st Metamorphosis Monday!

Happy Met Monday! Hope your weekend has been grand!

Do you have a room in your home that you love to change up and transform with the seasons? Kristy, a talented Interior Designer who lives on the West Coast of Florida with her husband and two daughters, enjoys transforming her living room to reflect the changing of the seasons and holidays.  Kristy's home, Starfish Cottage, is decorated in a style she describes as "laid-back coastal cottage."

Kristy shared a few pics with me recently showing the transformation of her living room beginning in early spring going into late summer.  Let's take the tour!

In early spring, Kristy gives her living room a fresh, springtime look!

Absolutely love these fabrics!

Kristy said, "Starfish Cottage is a reflection of all the things we love in our life: family, friends, Florida, fishing, fabulous food, fun music, and our FAITH in God. More specifically, our cottage is filled with seashells, slipcovers and seagrass rugs; as well as antiques, vintage finds, candles and natural accents. I loosely describe my style as "French Country Coastal" (if there is such a thing) and one of my FAVORITE things to do is update our home decor seasonally."

I really like how Kristy incorporates a touch of coastal into each design.

When Independence Day arrives, Kristy brings out the Red, White and Blue!

Kristy shared, "My furniture and furnishings are mostly neutral, and I like switching out pillow covers and accessories for new looks."

This is a fabulous look for transitioning from late summer to early fall.  Love the soft, neutral colors contrasting against the white.

Kristy said, "Re-decorating" is easy for me because all of my major furnishings are neutral- white, black, khaki or brown. I simply change out my pillow covers and tabletop accessories to give my home a fresh new look. I have a large collection of decorative pillow covers and accessories that I have collected over the years and enjoy playing around with new color schemes. I also try to put a "coastal" spin on each season's decor."

The transformations of Kristy's living room above, beautifully demonstrates how a simple change in the pillows and accessories can easily and inexpensively transform the look and feel of any room.

Be sure to stop by Starfish Cottage in the next few weeks to see what Kristy has planned for fall.  I know it will be wonderful!  You can see more of Kristy's talent and wonderful design at Kristy Seibert Designs.

If you are participating in Metamorphosis Monday you will need to link up the permalink to your MM post and not your general blog address. To get your permalink, click on your post name, then just copy and paste the address that shows up in the address bar at the top of your blog, into the "url" box for InLinkz.

If you'd like to include the MM button in your post, just copy and paste the Met Monday button to your computer or grab the html code from underneath the MM logo under the "Join a Blog Party" header at the top of this blog.

In order to link up, you'll need to include a link in your MM post back to the host blog, Between Naps on the Porch so your regular readers will be able to find the Met Monday party which ensures your friends and fellow bloggers will receive lots of visits, too.

PLEASE DO NOT type in all caps...it spreads the links waaaay out. Thanks!

Let's try something fun today! Please visit the person who linked before you and after you...that way everyone will get some visits. Hope you'll visit more, of course.

Welcome! Thanks for coming to the party!
