Weekend in Blogland

Laura will show you how to make a Mason Jar Soap Dispenser at Monogram Boutique.  Clever, practical and easy to make with her great directions.

Been thinking about starting a home business? Already have a home business and could use some help in spreading the word? Simple Mom has a great article with 6 Ideas for promoting a home business.

Back Splash and Counter Update: Kate at Centsational Girl, just completed a beautiful renovation of her Butler's Pantry/Nook in her dining room. The Jeffery Court glass tile she chose is beautiful!

Love the color Katie at Wildwood Creek painted this chest. She painted the mirror above the same color. Great looking before and after!

I've discovered lately that I'm a picky lamp person.  Seriously...can never find lamps I like.  I'm in swoon with this bamboo lamp on Pat's beautiful secretary at Back Porch Musings. Isn't it awesome?  Update:  Pat says she found it at Lowe's a couple of years ago.  Drat.  I don't think they still have them now.  If you find one somewhere, shoot me an email at betweennapsontheporchatgmaildotcom.

Kimba at A Soft Place to Land, created the most wonderful "Kid's Art Gallery Wall." I love this idea! It looks fabulous and you know her little ones are beaming each time they pass by their art wall. :)

How cute are these Pony Tail Ribbons from How to Nest for Less.   Erin will show you how easy they are to make.

Sarah at Thrifty Decor Chick created an adorable reading nook for her son from a little used closet.

Linda at Nina's Nest, created the loveliest vignette on a silver tray...with finds from Goodwill, no less! You really don't have to spend a lot to get a beautiful unique display that just makes your heart sing.

Jenny at Love Being in My Southern Kitchen, has a fabulous porch. She just gave it a makeover and it looks great. Be sure to click on the pics to enlarge them for the full view.

Added to this post on Saturday evening:

You may have heard about a recent tragedy in Afghanistan involving 30 Navy Seals. Jules at The Dragonfly on Iron Gate has information about how you can help the widows and children of these brave men. Just visit Jules' site at the link above for all the details, or, you can visit The Navy Seal Foundation, HERE.
