Is it not just the best? Living in my home town of Vernon, water sports are very popular since the town is build along 2 very large lakes. There is nothing like the feeling of being out in the middle of the lake, with the water like glass, looking back into shore.
Take a look at this sun!!! I have never seen anything like it before. A rainbow halo around the entire sun. Here is some history I dug up on why that happens.
The halos (or, sometimes known as "sundogs" around the sun) are usually seen when there are high cirrus clouds overhead. Those clouds are made of tiny ice crystals, which will refract the sunlight much like a prism will and voila!
