Sweet Summertime

Hi honeybees! Sorry for the crickets over on this little blog. Seems I've taken sickly the past few days. An annoying cough has turned chronic, my voice has gone on vacation, and the constant jolt from all of this hacking has left me with a migraine. Always lovely yes? I had to leave work early last night and I've spent the past 3 days sipping on Robitussin DM and Ibuprofen. I'm sure it'll pass soon though! Memorial Day weekend is generally the start of all of the summer shindigs and weekends spent at the river, so I'm celebrating by rounding up a few images that have me pumped for the heatwave coming our way! I'm also going to leave you with a very favorite song of mine (video included!). "In This Diary" by The Ataris is probably my soundtrack to the summer every year! Nothing gets me in the mood for road trips, windows down, with friends like that song...

I want to stop being sick so I can enjoy all of this sunshine in the pool with a lemonade and loud music!

new suit

i am completely in love with this amazing swim suit from jcrew. this weekend i am going to vegas for the first time and i am super excited. i'm thinking that for the mini-vacation. i am going to need this suit - so... we'll see how things go, but i'm hoping that i can get my little hands on this suit!! wish me luck! ♥

Water

i am craving a day out on the beach. a day where you can sit in the sun. a day where 1 bottle of sunscreen SPF 50 is not enough. a day where you leave with no tan, just freckles. ♥

i am craving a day out in the sprinklers, sitting in a lawn chair drinking freshly made lemonade. or just taking a refreshing drink from the hose. a day where the only thing that matters is now much water you can fill into one water balloon before it bursts.

i am craving a day just sitting next to a swimming pool with nothing but your bathing suit on. not wanting to get your hair wet with the rest of the swimmers, so you sit on the ledge. ♥

i am craving anything and everything water. water slides. water bottles. water parks. water bodies. everything.

I want to Be Outside

i'm dying to be outside. it's torture being locked up in a call center all day. :(

Diet ♥

i am going on a diet. i want to look good in my bikini this summer. i started my diet on may 1, 2010. it's only been a few days, I KNOW. but it's been soo good for me. i feel more energized and healthy. i have also started working out. p90x you saved my life once before, let's see what you've got this time!

Dear Mother Nature,

Please bring Utah better weather. Having snowy, dreary weather in April, is simply not acceptable. The snowy months are over. The season known as 'winter' begins in December and ends in February. It is now almost 2 months past the snow season and I would like to see some summer sun sometime soon [nice alliteration, huh?]. Please.

Please? Pretty, pretty please. With a cherry on top?

it's been a lazy monday. not too busy at work. ][knock on wood][ not that the day isn't almost over anyways. but wouldn't it be nice to go home to a lovely little green chair and just sit in the gorgeous night air and sip hot chocolate with a blanket and your lover sitting next to you? then roaming inside to find the tv playing the next episode of brothers & sisters just so that you can finally see what's going on with rob mcallister so you can have peace of mind as to if he will continue on to season 4 or not?
