Daily Photos - Saturday in Review

Today was a fun day! Not only did I wake up in an exceptional mood, but we also found out that Mike didn't have to work today! Huzzah! Such a pleasant surprise because today was a bit of a whirlwind!

Here's what went down... (These photos don't do it justice because it was definitely jam-packed!)

For starters - I got cut another 2 and a half hours early at work last night (bummer!) I hope tonight is better. But we got a wonderful sleep and I woke up to:

Pipkin laying all sorts of funny. You can't see but Georgia was sleeping right on top of me too. She's heavvvvyy!

I drove my car for the very last time. Little Delilah has served me well the past 4 and a half years, but it was time for bigger and better things! We needed a more family-friendly car for me so we went and bought this...

A silver Xterra that we have yet to name! Huzzah! Not the best picture because I forgot to take more while it was light outside. This one is to document what the very first thing on the car was: a shark diving decal! Wahoo! I can't wait to get my new license plate and frame, too! Hopefully you'll get a kick out of them! We are in heaven with this car. It's wonderful! Not the most "green" car on the planet, but it's exactly what we were looking for. I feel so tough driving it! It lacks all the luxury bells and whistles that my convertible had, but that's because it's meant to work. There aren't even mirrors on the visors! haha I like that about it though. I'll post detailed pictures soon!

Afterwards we headed to Best Buy to check on a new XM radio for it. My car had it built in but this one doesn't (doesn't have an Aux port either!). We're having an Aux port installed this week and then getting a new XM radio too because about 30 seconds of FM radio was enough for me. (Not to be a music snob or anything but I can't stand that song "like a g6" or whatever it is! Gah!)

Then we went to Garcia's! By this time we were famished! I had bean & cheese nachos (and jalapenos!) and Mike had some cheese enchiladas.

Then we took the girls to the puppy park and then to Petsmart to get some new treats. Now we're at home, resting up before leaving for work at the bar. Just gotta get through three days of classes this week, then 1 next week! Cross your fingers for me, y'all!

PS; if you've emailed me in the past couple of days, don't worry, I will respond! I've just been so busy and using any downtime I can to just rest! I promise to respond tomorrow night at the latest! xo

Daily Photos

001. georgia likes to sleep right on top of me nowadays. i think it's because pipkin gets away with it so georgia feels entitled. so sweet. i don't mind. 002. sometimes it's nice to take a break from class and just sit outside for a few minutes. 003. my new headphones came in in record time. if you follow me on twitter you'll know that i left this same pair at barnes and noble the other night and they were swiped. i liked them so much i bought another pair. seriously. they're great. (spitfire sheldons if you're interested). 004. working on my diy book for portfolio. so tired of looking at it. 005. the little book of ideas i semi-made. 006. another red tights day. 007. sweet pip and g. 008. they have so much fun with little toy shovels and rakes. it's absolutely ridiculous (but they stand up to their tough teeth! wahoo!)

The Past Few Days...

001. we had pei wei for the first time the other day. i had the yummy sweet and sour veggie tofu. yum!. 002. we ate some delicious spring rolls (seriously. so good). 003. mike had the pad thai! 004. pipkin ate my literature book. oops! 005. i snagged some new dark red tights and wore them today. ooh la la! 006. we have to drive all the way to columbia (15 minutes.. not that far really..) to pay our cable bill. but we always have a nice time singing along in the car to the same songs over and over and over. 

My Day in Photos...

Well... the past two days. Sort of. Really it's just what we ate, Pipkin sleeping, and me getting tattooed. But then again, that really is what I do so I guess it works! 

001. We treated ourselves to lunch at Garcia's yesterday. I had veggie nachos and Mike had the veggie burrito. 002. Our dinner the past two nights. Tuesday: Veggie stirfry and brown rice. Wednesday: Eggplant parmigiana! with whole wheat noodles (recipe soon!) 003. Making rainbow "Unicorn" cupcakes and getting my elbow tattooed (worst.pain.ever). 004. Sleepy Pip and even sleepier Pip.

Here's what my Monday consisted of...

001. laying on the couch (probably watching something embarrassing like mtv) and drinking orange juice. 002. working on the website and facebook page for the social media campaign. 003. working on the twitter and a sleepy pipkin. 004. more sleepy pipkin and i broke my iphone screen... again... (really?!) 005. georgia letting her cheeks flap in the wind and playing with her little sister. 006. making caprese salad bread and baking neon cupcakes.

I've been such a slacker on keeping up with daily photos since moving back from NYC... I promise to make more of an effort. This was my Sunday in photographs.

001. starting the day with white peach oolong tea in my new shark mug. 002. vaccumed the entire downstairs only to notice how full it was... (i lack all domestication skills). 003. played around with an illustrated design for a website layout i'm working on... it's due tuesday. oops! 004. all of a sudden georgia likes to hang her face out of the window of my car. 005. georgia playing with sadie (a husky/retriever mix) at the puppy park. 006. my two sweet girls passed out after a long hour at the bark park. 

A Slice of Life

Excuse the photo-heaviness of this post. I'm going to do a little iPhone photo dump from the past day or three! I'll explain them all below :) I was called into the bar two hours early today (7pm) but was just now notified that I wasn't needed until 8! Huzzah! 

I opened a package to find a little Kaelah doll the other day from the talented Bethany! How cute is that?! I love that she even added the little silver dimples, too! 

Mike made some deeeeelish veggie quesadillas the other night.

A sweet text from my beau.

I got tattooed. Added the compass and the seafloor, color, and clam.

Anyone else see what's up with this lady's arm/shoulder?!?! It creeeeeped us out! It cannot possibly be foreshortening either!

Pipkin slept... a lot. A lot. And played in the flower bed. And with Georgia. And slept in/on my cat purse.

Drives in Tennessee. I love this season.

Our mornings lately have been simply sitting outside while the two girls play together and I eat a bowl of cereal. I like our simple mornings. They're fun. 

Today we took Georgia to the vet because she had an itchy behind. She was miserable. We had her anal glands expressed but that still didn't do it. We saw the vet and let us in on the fact that Georgia has awful awful allergies. She was given a steroid shot and now she has to take 4 Benadryl daily and use special fish oil pumps for her food and special shampoo. Oh bullies! She's feeling like a million bucks now though! It's all worth it! 

After that we came back home, went to eat lunch at Olive Garden and get Gigi's Cupcakes. Then we headed to Books-a-Million where I bought The Help by Katherine Stockett (for Literature class), a new "little book of ideas" (isn't it cute?!) and Mike got a vegetarian cookbook! (The food looks so scrumptious in it! I'll share when we make some!)

Now my allergies are kicking in! Oh boy! Well, that's all for now! Must run off to work... for real this time! Have a lovely Saturday night!
