Sunday Funday

So I give you our Sunday Funday...

For starters, a drunk lady spilled a drink alllll over both my sidekick AND my iphone this weekend at work... yep, you heard right. I was able to salvage my iphone (praise!) but my sidekick refused to open properly and all of my buttons stuck. So I took it upon myself to trek over to T-Mobile and get a new Sidekick. Yeah... my contract was supposed to be up in July, but I needed a phone now so now T-Mobile has me yet again until July 2012. Poor poor me. At least my phone is cool. I bought the 2009 Chrome LX. It's nice. So long, little Brown! I really loved you!

Yesterday Mike and I started the day by cleaning out our cars! Oh joy! Mine needed it SOOO SO bad! I need to have it detailed but maybe later haha We found so much random crap in my trunk! And about 15 coffee mugs in Mike's car. No lie.

Georgia jumped up in the drivers seat and just hung out for a while. She had her paw up on the console. So cute! She was ~just chillin.

And then she turned into a ladybug...

Mike had the brilliant idea of taking photos of all the crap we found in my trunk and listing it as a legit ~outfit. So here you go... if you ever wondered what fit in my tiny tiny trunk (not that I think you ever would), now you know!

Then we went grocery shopping and went for a nice drive. We drove around Brentwood with the top down on my car (I think Mike likes to drive my car with the top down because the Chanel sticker doesnt show on my back window hahaha) We stopped by this old building for a few ~outfit photos. I look a bit haggard because my hair was a mess and I didn't much feel like photos. :) But we've found a new spot for photos so maybe we'll go back soon!

Recap...

sorry for my little 3-day hiatus. i needed a break from the internet, for reallllll. the past few days have been awesome (and exhausting). i had a huge exam in art history 2 on friday morning and i hate having to try and study for it. that class is the bane of my existence. i didnt go to class thursday morning but the rest of the day was spent running errands and we shot a few outfit photos. i was very sloppy on thursday so i apologize for my appearance.

Friday was the test and I was just happy to have it over with. Later in the day mike and i ran errands, grabbed lunch, had an impromptu picnic in Pinkerton Park (where we took all of the following photos) and then we went to see Valentine's Day at the theater. (it was SOOOO good! i totally recommend it to anyone! i was laughing, crying, etc! such a great cast. i will OWNNN that movie when it comes out!)

Oh, I forgot to mention we took up a new hobby. We were bored so we took up candlemaking. Yep... you read it. Heres a few silly pictures of our less-than-stellar candles!

Oh oh oh! On Friday, Mike was going to surprise me with carnations on my car as I came out of class... but I foiled his plan by leaving class earlier than he had expected. I was still thrilled to come home to some beautiful flowers! How precious!

There's currently some ~controversy going around on my formspring about a certain female and her knack for saying rude/malicious things about me. I'm going to post on that later (well, less on her and more on body image, etc) But for now, I have to get ready for work. I left my makeup there last night so I'm going bare faced with dirty dirty hair and a gross outfit. I just dont feel like getting all spiffed up tonight.

Tomorrow Mike and I are going to clean our cars (yay!) and start some spring cleaning as well. At least I am haha So excited for it to be 60 degrees! I better not get TOO attached... the high will be 31 Thursday! Gah, Tennessee! You're killing me!

bee's first day back at school.

yesterday mike and i slept in and i woke up about an hour and a half before he did. he woke up very very sickly so i felt so sorry for him. i hate to be sick myself, and believe me, when i am.... i dont make it easy on anyone. not that i MEAN to be a difficult sickie, but i guess thats just my nature. i like to be babied and i manage to whine a lot... luckily he's much better about this. i made him stay in bed and i went thrifting for a bit. i headed back home after not too long [but i was NOT short on any sweet finds!] and spent the rest of the day with him. we managed to get him out of bed for a short time to run to JoAnn's and WalMart. We grabbed a RedBox movie [for free! I LOVE my RedBox iPhone App! $1 saved is $1 saved!] and headed home. We made veggie burgers for dinner and I spent hours crafting silly little antique lace bow headbands with tulle and netting. After a bit we crawled into bed to watch our movie [Bruno... which i DO NOT recommend to anyone.. it was SO vulgar! i had heard things but i was not prepared for that. ugh]. It was horrible. then we fell asleep.

I sat my alarm for 9am to start the semester off right [I didnt have class until 1pm but I had a TOMS Style Your Sole meeting to attend at 11:30] and i overslept... as per usual. I rolled out of bed at 11am. guh! I had waffles for breakfast and after getting dressed I headed to campus.

I managed to drop a class [Corporate Design, yuck!] and pay my tuition [or so I thought... luckily I had a full ride yet again this semester! woot!]. I turned in my BUST internship evaluation and headed to my class. Today was Print Design 2. So many awesome familiar faces. But thats my school haha With 200 students in the entire college, you have all your classes with the exact same people. Luckily that includes Katie, Jordan, Caitlin, Kayla, Chris and 2 new ladies. One of the girls, Savannah, is apparently dating Mike's good friend Adam. She introduced herself and so that was a nice little surprise. The teacher seems really great. He's very very friendly and after going over our syllabus I'm happy to say I'm very much looking forward to this class. I do love Print so that always helps. [The first project is a How-To Manual... but I have NO idea what I want to do it over! Any ideas?!] Hmm.. well the class dismissed very early, in typical first-week fashion. I headed home to greet my sickly beau and before too long he wanted out of the house. We went to Hobby Lobby where I stocked up on crafty goodies, and then we went to WalMart real quick. We got home and he pretty much passed out so I uploaded TONS of new things to MY ETSY, took a bubble bath, poked around on the internetz, and then i started to make pasta for dinner. He woke up from his few-hour comatose state and joined me for some food. Now we're back in our room, he's laid up in bed watching tv shows on HULU on the tv and i'm blogging on the computer. Praise the lamb for split screen laptops!

a snowy thursday in tennessee!

after my first post tuesday, mike came back by the house and we headed out to get food because we hadn't eaten yet [aside from my sorbet, yum!]. we headed to the grocery store [kroger] and got all kinds of goodies to make burritos, veggie stirfry, vegan pancakes, etc. then we headed to whole foods to get some tempeh, soy yogurt, and some new vegan "cheese" we're going to try. mike had never had Sweet CeCe's before so we went. Yeah, thats right.. I had it twice tuesday.

yesterday was SUCH a lazy day. we went to bed early on purpose [quarter after midnight!] so we could set our alarm for 9am. we were determined to be productive. well... 9 rolls around, the awful alarm sounds, mike gets up, i stay in bed. i fall back asleep because i'm difficult and wake up at 10... i STILL dont want to get out of bed so i convince mike to come back to sleep... we sleep the day away. seriously. i think we got out of bed at like 1:45pm or something ridiculous. i legitimately slept for over 13 hours. WIN WIN! after we got up we got dressed, attempted to clean my room some more [read: sorted through a crap ton of clothes, put some back in my closet], went and did 4 loads of laundry [what an adventure!], went to target where i tried to buy a really cute dress but mike ripped it from my hands and said NO! [i sulked for a while :( but he was right], then we went to walmart [where i totally got a miley cyrus skirt for $12! holla!] and a new card reader.


we came home and i did bloggy things while he cooked dinner. we had a pasta veggie something-or-another. it was yummy though! we stayed up for a while working on uploading dumb youtube videos [see last post] but they are nothing to write home about. we went to bed at about 3:30am and somehow, magically, managed to drag ourselves out of bed at 10:30am after mike reprimanded me for turning of both alarms... yet again. I HATE WAKING UPPPP! I CANT HELP ITTTTT! i like to sleep the day away and then regret it. anyway, we got up, ate some toast, headed out to petsmart to get G some tear stain remover and a new pink harness [so cute!]. it was snowing and we took silly videos of it. its like the tennessee apocalypse and we havent even accumulated 1/4 of an inch. truth! we came home, made some lunch [i had a yummy veggie burger and mike had a vegan noodle stir-fry and spring rolls!] and now here we are! BEING PRODUCTIVE! huzzah!

i'm hopefully doing the extensions and hair curling tutorial videos everyone has been asking for today. al;dfjka;ldsfj i feel so awkward in front of my iMovie doing a video like that but i shall persevere! then i'm going to clean my room, dye my hair, and i dont know... try to do things. thennnnn we're going to make vegan nachos for dinner and watch "The Goods" or whatever that movie is called. holla!

oh, mike picked out the dress that i wore today! trufax! so stylish, he is! two thumbs way up, boyfriend!

Two-Day Recap!

I suppose I'll use this entry to update about the occurrences of yesterday and today. Yesterday we woke up (10 again. gah!) and headed out to do all the errands we didnt manage to do on Monday. we were all over the place. the mall, walmart, barnes & nobel, etc. I managed to finish all my christmas shopping though! I had a beautiful family tree-thing engraved for my Nana and finished up the stockings for the dogs (yes, i'm one of THOSE people). we ate at genghis grill for lunch AGAIN.. the second time in 3 days. haha we came back home around 5pm and were EXHAUSTED. we did the usual routine. i took care of blog stuff, we baked yummy cookies, we made dinner, big ol' bubble bath and then we watched 500 days of summer. we've gotten pretty routine in watching a movie every night before bed. i like it. I let yesterday stress me out a lot for no reason. I started thinking about NYC and BUST and my career, i freaked myself out. i received my internship evaluation in the mail from BUST and i got nervous. luckily it said wonderful things and then i cried. i cried a lot yesterday. it was just one of those days i suppose. i was happy, but at the same time i was so worried that i wouldn't get a job at BUST and if you know me at all, you'll know that that is the single publication i am INCREDIBLY passionate about. sometimes my thoughts wander but when i pick up an issue its like it smacks me in the face and screams 'YOU NEED TO WORK FOR THIS PUBLICATION!' bleh. i'm going to own my 2nd internship this summer though. every ounce of passion i have will be poured into that office.

after cookies and baths and dinner and the movie, i managed to lay in bed with mike and just start sobbing. lordy. i think it frightened him a little at first but it was like i was feeling all of these emotions and all i could do about it was cry. i was happy... SO happy... but the only way i knew how to convey that was to sob like a fresh-from-the-womb baby. it was one of those self-realization moments... where you just KNOW. needless to say yesterday was a ridiculously emotional day. i was drained. so we slept.

The alarm was set for 10am yet again but i so cleverly turned it off and we woke up at 11:30. Much to mike's surprise, that is. I woke up to the sad realization that today was again "just one of those days"... One of those days where I doubt myself and I hate the way I look, etc etc. I'm not sure why. Granted, we all have those days, I know. But I was just sad for no real reason. I felt bad because it's been apparent all day. Mike even asked me in a store what was wrong several times and I finally just said "I just don't like me today"... meh. I guess I'm just ready for today to be over :) We got ready, headed out and went to Green Hills Mall where I bought him an iPhone 3g for Christmas at the Apple store. he was able to upgrade so it was way cheaper. We got the heck out of that mall because its way too dangerous for my bank account. We went to Nashville West where I took my curtains back to World Market that were a few feet too long. Then we headed to his house so he could pack his bags for his Christmas visit to his family's place. We came back to Franklin and ate a super late breakfast/late lunch/early dinner at Garcia's. His brother, Ryan, came to join us. I suppose we were there for a little over an hour or so and they dropped me off at my place and now i'm getting ready to head to my parents'. gah. go go go! I have so much to pack and get sorted and organized and loaded into the car... not to mention Georgia has to fit in there, too. bleh! having a tiny two-seater car is NOT practical people! especially when you dont have a trunk!
