this weekend, marcos and myself sat down for to make a tough decision. after many hours of contemplating what would fit our style and how we would make it work with our venue... we decided on our wedding flowers.... the ones that made the cut are the ones that we now present to you as...

it's amazing how everything is really starting to fall into place.

i'm sure i'm missing a few things... but they'll fall into place sooner or later! happy [late] monday!

they're hydrangeas...

i don't know how many of you are fans of gossip girl like i am... so i don't know if the title of this post means anything to anyone, but i thought it was funny. i got a good chuck-le out of it. hahahahhah. alright. let me set the scene. . .

blair waldorf, a spoiled and very glamorous fashionista, [played by leighton meester] was the recipient of a gorgeous arrangement of hydrangeas. sitting on the table for all to see, someone clearly not educated in the many different types of flowers comments on them saying, 'nice flowers'.

blair glares at him then corrects him saying, 'they're hydrangeas'.

but, back to my post. i absolutely love hydrangeas. i think they're one of the prettiest flowers out there. i found a lovely collection of photos that i wanted to share! enjoy!

Inspiration Board for Brooke!!

Brooke contacted me in August, about her wedding in August of 2010. She was getting married in a Catholic church in Bath with a reception following at Sebasco Harbor Resort in Phippsburg.

She had some of the major vendors done and was looking more for help with the design and planning the flow of the weekend. I met with Brooke's mother and knew I was going to love working with this family!

Brooke and Andrew really wanted a classic coastal wedding. They loved the blue palette with white accents. Classic, clean,and yet contemporary. Brooke was drawn to the starfish, so we are planning on using the starfish with a modern twist, using clean lines. Here is my Inspiration Board for Brooke and Andrew. I will repost it again on the night of their rehearsal so you can revisit the inspiration when we get to see the reality!!
