Bunny-on-a-Stick Show 'n Tell Party!

Yep, you read right...we're showing off our Bunnies on a Stick! These little guys have been turning up all over Blogland...so Barb over at Grits and Glamour thought it might be fun to have a Bunny-on-a-Stick Party, so we could show 'em all off. :-)

Now, I didn't get near as creative as some ladies...but I thought my little guy looked pretty cute mixed in with the daisies I purchased recently from Michaels.

A couple even hopped right into the basket on the door from the porch...

To see what everyone is doing with their Pier 1 bunnies, hop on over to Grits and Glamour by clicking HERE!

Thursday is Tablescape Thursday! If you aren't familiar with Tablescape Thursday, click on the Pink TT button/logo over on my sidebar for all the details. Mr. Linky will be available Wednesday evening by 9:00 PM...see you then!

Make a Lamp from Something You Love! Welcome to the 11th Metamorphosis Monday!

Several years ago I was out antiquing and I came across this cute doggie. Ummm, the wheels started turning, and I thought he just might be the perfect size to...

...have made into a lamp. I'd been shopping for a small lamp to go on this table in my family room for some time. The room had/has a bit of a hunt/canine theme going on, so this little guy fit right in.

In this pic of the family room, you can just see the lamp beside the chair on the left. The other lamp you see in this pic is a "doggie" lamp, too.

If you have a table or nook somewhere in your home that needs a lamp, and you just haven't been able to find the right one...

keep a look out for a decorative piece you just plain love. Almost anything can be made into a lamp.

To have the lamp made, I took the doggie to a local lamp store. First they had me choose the color I wanted for the base. I chose a dark brown color that I thought would work well on the small table and wouldn't take away from the piece.

They attached the doggie to the base and ran the post up behind him, never having to drill into the piece at all. Here's a view of the back...

I was also able to choose the shade and the finial for my lamp. The total cost for this lamp was around around $65.

It's fun to have a lamp you designed yourself and you know you most likely won't being seeing everywhere. Just imagine all the fun possibilities!

Hope you enjoyed this little metamorphosis...now I'm off to see all the other "Before and Afters" for this Met Monday!

Easter Tablescape, Welcome to the 31st Tablescape Thursday and Foodie Friday!

Easter is just around the corner so I've been playing in the dishes again... :-)

It was a gorgeous day, the afternoon I put this tablescape together. I had the all the doors to the porch thrown open, and if you click on this pic, you'll see the sheers on the porch billowing in and out in the breezes. Oh, how I love such a day as this!

The only thing I purchased new for this tablescape were the blue bunny plates and the place card holders...

Bunny plates are from HomeGoods...

Dinner Plate is Butler's Pantry, Gourmet by Lenox

I've had these green glasses for years and about a year ago I came across the wine glasses at A Classy Flea for only $2.50 a stem. Don't they look like they were made for each other? :-)

Flatware is Napoleon Bee and is available online through Neiman Marcus.

When I found these "fancy" napkin rings at Macy's, I thought they would be perfect for a bridal shower or a ladies tea. But looking at them now, they sort of make me think of Easter lilies.

You can just see the place card holder over the napkin.

Place card holders came from Hobby Lobby...I filled them with Cadbury mini eggs.

Found these cute Fitz and Floyd Salt/Pepper shakers at Tuesday Morning a couple of months ago.

Miss Bunny stole my heart last Easter when I found her in Marshalls.

She has some gifts for you!

Take a look at her sweet little face.

Don't you just love her? :-)

Remember these narcissus? You may recall, I started them a few weeks ago from bulbs...they filled the room this day with their sweet, sweet scent!

For Foodie Friday, I'm sharing these adorable cookies I found at Big Lots. They were priced $1.00 each, which I thought was very reasonable. When I got to the register, they rang up for only .10 cents each. I purchased all they had left...which were the four you see below:

An egg...

Cute little hatching chick...

A little lamb...

A bunny in overalls with a carrot...

I promise I did not take a bite out of his left foot during the creation of this tablescape. But, don't even ask what happened to all these critters, once I was done taking pics. :-)

Happy Foodie Friday! Doesn't this make you want to go bake cookies from scratch...or...just go shopping at Big Lots! :-)

Bird's eye view...

Hope you enjoyed this little Easter tablescape...
