Brian Joseph Atmospheres: Welcome to the 18th Metamorphosis Monday!

I have an awesome Before and After to share with you this week...can you tell I'm just a little bit excited?!:-) A while back I shared several pics of this beautiful dining room belonging to Brian, a wonderfully talented Interior Designer, whose design business is Brian Joseph Atmospheres.

Recently, Brian completed a new design project where he dramatically transformed several rooms in an historic home in Watchung, New Jersey. The home was was built in 1740 and had been added onto several times over the years. Brian worked his design magic and you aren't going to believe these are the same rooms...the after pics are just amazing! If you click on the pics, they will enlarge for a better view. Here's a before pic of the living room...

Before:

Another before pic of the living room...

After:
Brian said that he "kept the fabulous wallpaper and introduced an equally strong pattern along with stripes, damask, antiqued velvet, and silk."

Doesn't the wallpaper look really beautiful and like it belongs in this space now?! The sofa and sofa fabric are Lee Jofa...

Brian used a Scalamandre fabric on this Ralph Lauren spindle chair. I love this look and the plaid pillow is just perfect!

A Brunschwig & Fils fabric was used for the Scalamandre chaise shown below.

Window fabric and trim is also by Scalamandre. I love how Brian has used several different fabrics and patterns...and they all look amazing together!

This wonderful home also had a "Gentleman's Lounge" that Brian re-designed...here are two before pics.

And here's the after: I LOVE the fabric on these chairs.

This room was previously used as a Dining Room, and Brian says, "We transformed this small space into a masculine lounge area where the clients read and watch television - especially in winter, this room is BEYOND cozy! Scalamandre fabric on Scalamandre lounge chairs, Ralph Lauren tiger velvet on a Ralph Lauren ottoman, and velvet draperies from Pottery Barn."

Brian also renovated the Garden Room...here's the before:

And now for the After: I can hardly believe it's the same room!  About the garden room, Brian said, "We really went to town on this cold brick and slate room. Replacing the windows with larger ones and 3 sets of French Doors, we also leveled and coffered the ceiling, enclosed and paneled the fireplace, and replaced the slate floor with 200-year old pine from a Pennsylvania barn. The pink ceiling gives the room a warm, rosy glow throughout the day and night." The sofa is from the owner's collection and the chair is from Source Perrier.

Antique painted Italian chest and sconces are from Jeanne Reed's.

Wow...that coffered ceiling is gorgeous!

I love all the built in bookshelves! I would never want to leave this room!

I couldn't end this tour without showing you the Master Bedroom...here's two before pics...

Another before pic...

This is soooo beautiful! I love the way this room just glows with warmth...what a gorgeous color Brian chose for the walls!

Brain explains his design choices for this room by saying, "My hero, Mario Buatta, says that every Master Bedroom should be feminine. Given that, and the fact that the lady of the house's favorite color is pink, this room REALLY delivers. We also replaced the carpet with old-growth, random width wide plank flooring, added a chair rail, and enclosed the wacky fireplace. The stone mantel is antique, Brunschwig & Fils window treatment fabric, Houles tassel trim, and bedding by "Between the Sheets" in Long Beach Island, New Jersey."
