Fallish Boots

fall is right around the corner. i have started getting out all of my cardigans, scarves and boots. and currently, i am obsessed with boots. i have quite a few pair|s of boots. and i love them all.

i have yellow boots. i have brown boots. i have black boots. i have polka-dotted rain boots. and the list goes on. boots are so much fun to wear. they look cute with almost any outfit and they're so comfortable.

in my opinion, they bring a bit of edge to an outfit. cause typically, before there were floral boots, i thought of men wearing boots when working construction. which there is nothing wrong with that, but they just didn't seem very feminine. but now, there are so many different colors and patterns that make them so much more cute.

but mostly, in the fall|winter time, boots are so amazing because they keep your feet warm from the cold. that is one of my favorite parts about wearing boots. if you wear your boots atop a few pair of woolly, snugglly socks, then your feet are guaranteed warmth.

i adore them. ♥

Laugh Out Loud

if you have a few minutes to read this, i promise, you will not regret it.

i will do a short explanation of what's going on before we get into it:

there are a few rad people that i work with, that like to chat. we chat about anything and everything. there is always something to chat about. work stuff. people stuff. you know...stuff

there is one person that we work with that has been assigned to be the mentor of all of the supervisors on our floor. she is in charge of making sure that things get done. she is a 'pusher' if you will. she is to push us to get assignments done and make a change for good. which okay, that sounds like a great idea. but i digress.

we supervisors get tickets which are technical issues with our system, or escalated customers that need to speak with someone 'higher up'. they sit in an inbox until we complete them.

myself and a few of mentioned friends, get our tickets done in a timely manner, as we should. because why? it's our job. the mentor, not so much. so we believe that she needs to work on her own work, before she should be 'pushing' us to do ours. it only makes sense, right?

soooooooo, i get this IM the other day when i get to my computer after lunch. and i almost died. here goes...the following is the chat correspondence i had with a friend...

Halee Berry says (2:20 PM):
High Five Halee: Welcome back folks!  I'm your host, High Five Halee.  It's that time again, time for everyone's favorite game show, GUUUUEEESS THE TICKETS!!!

(crowd cheers).

High Five Halee: Or first contenstant today is Miss Paislea Carlson (PIP of paislea waving at crowd and catching flowers from fans).  She loves cats, phillippinos and anything vintage!

Halee Berry says (2:21 PM):

High Five Halee: Alright! Now GUESS. THE. TICKETS!!!!!!

Paislea takes her 3 guesses:

paislea elyse said (2:54 PM):

Tie Me a Bow

i am loving bows. bows on shirts. bows on purses. bows on shoes. bows on headbands. i love love love bows. i need to be brave enough to wear a huge bow right on top of my head. ♥

bows are always just so feminine and pretty. i love the way that they can dress up an outfit to make it THAT much more cute. i love to see little baby girls with huge bows in their hair. i just think that they are sooooooo cute.

i am in love with all of the cute etsy stores. people making flowers, and bows and cute cute accessories and sharing them with everyone. i think it's such a cute idea. if you are talented, and can make adorable things, i praise you for sharing it!!

but, take a look at these cute bows and tell me what you think:

Welcome to the 85th Metamorphosis Monday! A Story of Hope and Healing...

Colette Gauthier was given a 5-15% chance of survival by her doctor. She had moved into a dismal rental house and was out of hope. Kelee from The Katillac Shack went to Michigan and with the help of Guideposts Magazine where she is their Inspired Home Expert, she created a beautiful makeover to change Colette's "sick" room to a healing space.

The goal was to create an uplifting and beautiful space to help Colette during her recovery from cancer, as well as lift her spirits through the course of her chemotherapy treatments. A miracle resulted for the room and Colette Gauthier. Seeing is believing in this wonderful video below. (If you can see four tiny white arrows beside the Vimeo name, click on those to enlarge the screen. When finished watching, hit escape.)

You may read more about Colette at The Katillac Shack and the story is featured in the September issue of Guideposts.

Here's how you can help!
For every comment you leave on this post and at The Katillac Shack and Facebook/Guideposts, $1 will be donated for the next needy makeover recipient. :)

One dollar ($1.00) donated for all comments received at The Katillac Shack, Pink Saturday, Spiritual Sunday and Country Wings in Phoenix and on this Metamorphorisis Monday post. That's a $5 donation from DesignGivesBack.com by commenting at all these host sites! :)

Metamorphosis Monday:
If you are participating in Metamorphosis Monday: Please be sure to add your permalink below, and not your general blog address. To get your permalink, click on your post name, then just copy and paste the address that shows up in the address bar at the top, into the "url" box for the picture linky. You'll also need to put your e-mail address in, but don't worry, it will not be visible to anyone.

I'd love it if you would include the MM button in your post, to make it easy for others to find you MM post. To do that, just copy and paste the Met Monday button to your computer or grab the html code from underneath the MM logo on my sidebar.

Please include a link in your MM post back to the host blog, Between Naps on the Porch. Why is this important? When you include a link back to BNOTP, it ensures your regular readers/visitors will find the other awesome "Before and Afters" linked for this Metamorphosis Monday. If everyone links back, this maximizes the opportunity for visits for all participants.

Please do not add your link below, until your MM post is actually published to your blog. Please DO NOT type in all caps...it spreads the links waaaay out. Thanks! :-)

Let's try something fun today! Please visit the person who linked before you and after you...that way everyone will get some visits. Hope you'll visit more, of course. :-)
