national ice cream day?
i had never heard of it. until today. but it has to be the best idea in the world. i was reading a fellow blogger's blog and found that it is true. it is, in fact, national ice cream day today, July 14, 2010.
so my proposition is this: everyone young or old, thin or thick, happy or upset, if you have little time or all the time in the world - tonight, everyone gets ice cream today. no matter what. ice cream makes everything better. i believe it's true. so head over to your local creamery for a sweet delicious treat and help celebrate this national holiday!

i remember being a little girl and my mother taking me to baskin robbins with my older brother. i would always get the bubble gum ice cream. now, when i think about it, i don't think i got that one because it tasted good. at all. the bubble gum pieces are hard because they're so cold, and they're not very appetizing. i know for a 99% fact that the only reason i would stomach that ice cream is because it was pink.
my brother used to get an ice cream called daiquiri ice. my mom told me that it was a cocktail and that it was an alcoholic beverage. i was always appalled that devin who at the time was only 7 years old got to have alcohol. little did i know that it was just meant to have a similar taste, and that it really didn't have alcohol in it.

i have always loved ice cream. so today, is the day to celebrate! ♥
