Friday Favorite: Hot Air Balloons

I actually featured hot air balloons as one of my very first inspiration photo features wayyyyyy back when this little blog first started. But I was re-inspired (is that a word?!) last week while I was doing errands in Franklin and there were 6 floating overhead. That's one beautiful thing about Franklin... at any given time during the year, you can almost always look up and see a hot air balloon or two! I'm not even sure why. I'd definitely be down for a ride, though! Here are some gorgeous, awe-inspiring photos of those little balloons! Enjoy!

Friday Favorite: Clouds!

Nothing beats some nice shots of pretty clouds on such a cold cold (and dreary) day here in Tennessee! Winter has come early... and we're trying to hold off on turning the heat on as long as possible! Eek!

PS; Thank you so much for the kind comments about Pip. She did really well throughout the night minus a few accidents (poor thing). She's snoozing beside me now. She's navigating the stairs up and down on her own. She's also eating and running around outside. Mike and I took the girls out last night before bed and Pip started running around chasing Georgia and we just stood on the sidewalk and cried while hugging. We feel such a weight lifted from our hearts. She hasn't been as playful as usual, but we're hoping that may come back with time. xo

Friday Favorites: Cameos!

I used to have a very favorite cameo brooch that I would attach to almost everything. I'm thinking I lost it in the flood because I definitely haven't seen it in the last six months. Quite disheartening as it was a wardrobe staple almost. Nevermind that, because I took to the internet to find a new one (and ended up with 2 or 3!). This is the one that arrived first, and I sported it on my dress yesterday. Typically I would stay away from things like this as I already look "different" enough, but I couldn't help but love how dainty it seemed with the gold ornate frame! After looking at it I realized that I could probably make them no problem, and I'm tempted to start making cameo items for my etsy in December! (Thoughts? Would you buy cameo items? Rings/Brooches/Pendants?) Either way, I'm at least going to do it for myself because I love them! And following - lots of other cameo treasures!
