waterfall braids > > >

i have had a picture saved on my desk top at work for the longest time. i always wanted to figure out how to braid. when i was younger, i never learned how to braid cause i would just have people do it for me. i would sit there on the floor and let them braid away. never really caring how to do it or anything except what it looked like when it was complete.
so with my braiding knowledge [or lack of] i went on the hunt to find out how to pull off this hair style. i soon found out that it is called 'the waterfall braid'. i think that it is simply the prettiest hair style that i have ever seen. i found a tutorial on love maegan that perfectly showed how to pull off this hair style.

and i can say that it took me a few hours trying to figure out how to french braid first of all... then how to figure out my fingers and arms and hands and the best way to start wrapping my hair around the back of my head without letting go of my braids etc... it was difficult at first... but this morning i woke up and i think it worked out pretty well. i think it's cute at least, and i have gotten a few compliments!

i am not very good at braiding. my hair. or anyone else's hair either. my mom would always braid my hair when i was little and i have always wanted to learn. so the other day, i did it. i attempted to braid my hair. it was not too good. i know how to braid, don't get me wrong, i mean i had barbies and dolls when i was little and i would braid like there's no tomorrow. i just wish i could french braid.

so i started one saturday while i was at home for i knew that i wasn't going to be going anywhere and i could just experiment with my hair. it was a fun time, but my hair turned out nothing like the pictures i've found on weheartit. 

if anyone has any fun tips, they would be more than welcome! ♥
