Wedding Wednesday!

Okay... this week's Wedding Wednesday is going to be even more hodgepodge than usual! I found a folder on my computer with more than the healthy dose of wedding photos compiled and collected from all over the web. I don't have the sources or credits for them anymore, but I'm sure with a little bit of searching you can find them on the usual sites I link to! (So sorry for this! I know it's a total blogger faux-pas but I just wanted to dump out this huge batch of visual inspiration!) You are going to LOVE them!

(The entire last section is from 100 Layer Cake!)

And the Weekly Wedding Question! Hair-do! Will you (or did you) opt for the special-occasion-up-do a la Prom and Homecoming, or are you more of a natural, let-the-hair-lay type of gal? Curly? Straight? Fascinator or flower? Veil? So many options with your hair!

My opinion: I don't know! Guess it'd depend greatly upon my dress but I'd like to think I'd have some sort of maybe-down-but-maybe-up-slightly do (that made no sense!). I DO know, however, that I want some sort of accessory whether it's a fascinator or flower-and-birdcage-veil. I'm not a Cathedral-veil girl myself but I'm also not a throw-my-hair-up-in-ringlets gal either!

PS; As far as the "exciting news" goes, I am not engaged! I've received so many excited/anxious/impatient texts/emails/formsprings that I thought I'd at least clear that one up seeing as it's Wedding Wednesday and all! My friend Merissa even asked in anticipation "Which one did you get?!" yesterday while thinking I had a new engagement ring to show off! (But really!?!? C'mon Mike! Someone ask him what's taking him so long?!?!? ;) haha) I will get to the exciting news soon though!

PPS; My sponsor, GirlyGifties is offering up a 10% coupon code for my readers! Pop on over, check out the shop, and snag something snazzy! Don't forget to use the coupon code BEESWEET10 for 10% off!

My Mom's Bakery

so my mom and dad were in town this past weekend and i was able to go to lunch with them. it was really fun. we headed over to olive garden and just sat around for a few hours catching up and going over things.

my mom is going to be opening a bakery. and can i just tell you how excited i am for her?!?!? it's going to be so cute because she is hip, cute and oh so fun. she loves to decorate so this little parlor is going to be perfect!

i will be working on a website to get her started while she gets the building and everything like that all set up and ready to go. but i was thinking of something fun that i could share today, and that was the best news i could think of. and then i found some really cute and fun pictures on weheartit.

if you live in colorado, keep a lookout for a new bakery in your area! ♥

Quasi-Sort-Of-Day-Off

Life has been oh-so-very-busy as of late and I apologize for my sporadic blog activity. We're excited to announce some fun news here shortly (I'm sure I've been teasing you if you follow me on twitter!) so stay tuned! I'm eyeball deep in school work, house work, personal projects, etc!

I've been meaning to photograph a headband sent to me by Maryam from Pamplemousse but my schedule totally doesn't sync up with Mike's! I get home at like 1pm tomorrow and he has to be at work at 1 (until 10!) Gah! Luckily we're both free on Friday so I'll def take photos and get it up! Take a look at how cute they are (and her!). Lovely!

Mike and I are also planning on adventuring to some abandoned houses and such this weekend around the Shelbyville area! We found some on our drives this week and I'm hoping we can play with our new Instax 210! (We got our replacement FlipCam too!)

We are already loving the new season of Dexter! Have you watched it?! What are your thoughts?! I wonder if anyone is as nervous as I am! We accidentally missed Glee tonight. I can't figure out why our DVR didn't record it but we'll just watch it tomorrow.

If you've purchased anything from my shop or Etsy since Thursday, it will be shipped tomorrow or Thursday at the latest! I ran out of headbands and then I ran out of bubble envelopes and I can only get the right size at Walmart and Spring Hill doesn't have a Walmart (I'm glad because I loatheeee that place! Hate shopping there!). Anyway, they are on their way soon! I promise!

As for sponsorships: I have 2 small and a large still available. Feel free to CLICK HERE to read about the perks or email me (kaelahbee@gmail.com) to discuss rates! Once they're gone, they're gone!

Annddd I think that about does it for this entry! I'll try to give you something good tomorrow! I just have soooo much homework to do! Eep!

A Fall Door Basket

My Fall Basket:

Well, I took everyone's combined advice and I:

1. Decided to keep the fall basket on the door since most of you liked it. I made it taller and skinner so I think it looks much better...less wide and overwhelming on the door.

And

2. I cut the whiter flowers off the bunch of sunflowers they were attached to. I dispersed them throughout the arrangement. For some reason, they looked a lot whiter in the photos I shared with you guys then they come across in person. In person, the centers of the white flowers are sort of creamy yellow. They look a lot better dispersed throughout the arrangement (now that I cut them off) instead of clustered along the bottom which is where they had somehow ended up since they are part of the sunflower bunch of flowers.

Sorry these pics were taken after dark...but hopefully you can see the changes I made...

I'm still looking for something viney and trailing to add along the bottom...

At the end of the fall season, I'm going to take this baby apart and buy some chicken wire to poke down in the basket...see if that will make arranging the flowers a little easier...that was another suggestion you guys had. Thank you to everyone!

Passport

so yesterday i went and sent in alllllll of my information so that i could get my passport!! i look soooo silly in my picture because the guy told me that i could not smile.

and to make matter worse, they had to send in my original birth certificate. it worries me because what if they lose it? tsk tsk tsk....

i hope everything goes well so i can be on my way around the world here in just a few short months!
