Kennebunk Adventure
Thomas and I went down to the "bunk" this weekend to look at the renovations at Chase Hill. This is where Lisa and Alex are having their September wedding. I got to look at were the ceremony would be and also the Friday night lobster bake. I think it will be an amazing weekend. Kristen showed me around Chase Hill and though it is still a "work in Progress" it will look amazing when it is done. They are doing a modern nautical theme. The walls are a soft blue and the chairs and light fixtures will be in a sleek modern look. The third floor where the dancing takes place has a huge window over looking the ocean. Very classy and elegant. I can't wait to see it finished. I will post pictures. I am so excited for Lisa's guests as they take the trolley from the Breakwater to Chase Hill. Kennebunk is an adorable little town and will show Lisa's guest the quaint Maine we all love so much.
As always my little assistant, Thomas was a super trooper on our long drives.....however it isn't easy being so cute!

~wedding of the past~ Stephanie and Dan
Steph and Dan were married last October at a beautiful church in the heart of Portland. She then went to the beach for a fun photo shoot and then they had their reception at the Woodlands country club in Falmouth. Steph and Dan used chocolate brown and soft pinks and had a maid of honor and a best woman. They also had their respective brothers as their ushers. It was a unique way to honor the men and women in their lives. Steph looked amazing in her fitted lace gown. I had to sew her in it....literally. She and Dan were so perfect for each other. I had such a great time watching these two people from separte parts of the country find each other in Maine. Steph is from Utah and Dan from Maine. Steph came here to be a high power attorney (which she is) and ended up meeting the man of her dreams. I hope you guys are having an amazing first year of marriage. Funny side story, Christy Murray was their photographer and sent them my way. When Steph called to see if I was available I was literally in pre-term labor with Thomas. I had him the next day. She was so scared and kept saying, "Shouldn't I call you back??" I kept telling "No you are a great distraction from the contractions, the only thing is if a big one hits, I may not be able to answer your question right away, I may have to breathe first." She was such a great sport and hired me anyway. She also had the best Father Daugther dance ever. Her Dad was a riot, he grab her during Pretty Woman and they dance like rock stars. Well, more like a combination of Mick Jagger and Elaine on Stienfield. I laughed so hard I cried. I love when people allow their personality shine through and make their wedding unique.

I have been converted!
OK, this may be hard for some people and shocking to others but I have been converted and I am now a proud owner of a MAC. I never thought I would do it, but I had lots of influences, Audra, Lisa, and then the nail in my PC coffin, Josh. To those PC users, please don't be angry, you too may some day see the apple light. I will pray for your hard drives and unnecessary frustrations.

Jenn and Josh!
I know, I know! It has been forever. Bad wedding planner. SO I am going to get you updated in the insanity that is my life. April 12th I went to Northeast Harbor to meet one of the greatest couples ever!!! I had too much fun meeting Jenn, Josh and their beautiful and super sweet Moms. Me and Thomas ventured out and got a bit chilly in the inn as it is still closed for the season. We did however get to explore the rooms and decide what we would be doing for the dining room design. When we got to Tom's office we warmed up and Josh and Thomas did some hard core playing. My Mother-in-law, Jean, aka Noni, was in town for an auction and took Thomas so the grown ups could have a deliciously fun lunch at the Tan Turtle Tavern. Let me say the lobster roll is huge, and so good. Josh and I got the whole thing down, well ok I left part of the roll but man it was Huge.
Jenn and Josh are the reason I do this job. I had so much fun and cannot wait for their wedding! It will be as fun and beautiful as this couple!

Leslie....thanks for Christmas in April!
So today when Peter came home he commented, "What the heck, is it Christmas in April??" I looked at him puzzled, "What do you mean?" He replied, "look at the front porch." It was amazing 10 boxes from Crate and Barrell! It was like Christmas in April. I had too much fun opening them and looking at the gorgeous lanterns we will be hanging from inside the tent. I am so excited! I wanted Leslie to send them to me so she wouldn't have to lug them up from Philly. After stacking them in my office....I think we made the right call, don't you think =)
